So if you haven't been to my new site CLM CRAFTS over on facebook, head on over. I added more items in the albums (Christmas Cards, Birthday and Sympathy cards). It is a slow progress but I am slowly getting there.

So head on over. I hope to see you there!

Wednesday 1 September 2021

 Hey Everyone!

Well I finally took the plunge and made a CLMCRAFTS page over on facebook. People can not only converse with me about my creations but can share their creations (upon my approval of course) with me, BUT can also shop. Although the site is still under construction, many people have wandered through and have posed questions. I am extremely excited to be able to share a variety of both my past and newest card creations.

Here is a sneek peek of only 2 of the available cards:

So head over to my site on facebook CLM CRAFTS and tell me what you think!

If you could like and share my page with your friends to support my small business, it would mean the world to me. Thank you!!

As these events have already happened I feel it is safe to post these cards. Close to the beginning of the month I made some great birthday cards for some of my family. For my sister Carol, I made a block tower card where I placed various pictures of her family and stamped a sentiment using Stampin' Up's approaching perfection stamp set and gorgeous grape ink.

For my other sister Marlene, I made a spinning tower card. I bordered punched butterflies along each side of the tower and then glued punched butterflies in various colours over top of them. I also stamped a sentiment using the approaching perfection stamp set in memento black ink, and cut out the word HAPPY in different coloured card stock using the playful alphabet dies.

Lastly for my brother-in-law David, I also used Stampin' Up's approaching perfection stamp set but stamped the sentiment in night of navy ink.

Such fun!

Hello everyone a quick update on how things are going. Family health issues are at a stand still right now so I am able to reconnect with my crafting family. I want to say thank you for all your prayers and good wishes that have been coming, they have indeed helped. Just to let you know that a couple of small changes have and will be made to the group's facebook page and blog. First off the name for both the facebook page and blog has now been changed to CLMCrafts and CLMCrafts.blogspot.com and soon the page and profile images. The email address for the page however has not been changed.

Stayed tuned to see the birthday cards I made earlier this month!

Monday 21 June 2021

Hello everyone so sorry for such a long absence from the last post. Unfortunately health issues of a family member has and will continue to require long absences between posts. I will however attempt to post as frequently as I can.

So this past May I participated in a Christmas Stampathon challenge where I was to make 4 Christmas Z-Fold cards. I made each of my z-fold cards different. I used the Snow Wonder, Freezin' Fun, and the Quite Curvy stamps sets from Stampin' Up. I also used Stampin' Up's Tis the Season, Snowflake Splendor, and Brightly Gleaming designer series paper.

This month's Christmas Stampathon's challenge was to make 4 KISS (Keep It Simple) projects. There is to be no frills just stamps, inks, and cardstock. So I made 2 cards using the Let it Snow stamps set and 2 cards using the snowflake wishes stamp set all on white and blueberry bushel cardstock. I used just jade, night of navy, memento black, gorgeous grape, cherry cobbler, shaded spruce, and pixie pink inks.

Until next time!

Monday 26 April 2021

Hello good morning and Happy Monday April 26th. Just popping on to share my 4 cards that I made during the Ladies Retreat on Saturday April 24th. I participated in a crafting day through Stampin4fun. Had so much fun crafting with Genevieve Ko and the other ladies. Such a good stress free day of crafting. I managed to make these 4 beauties.

Hello everyone, sorry for my long absence. Thank you for all your concerns and kind words. Unfortunately my family health issue has not got any better and may not for quite some time. I however have been doing some paper crafting and other various projects during my absence that I will post here soon. I hope to be able to start posting photos of all my projects in various stages of completion as I have been bouncing from project to project.

Thanks to one of my sister I have been doing diamond painting. On Friday April 23 I began doing this picture of 2 dwarfs. It is so colourful and bright and puts me in a happy mood. Hope to do more and will post as I go.

and on Tuesday April 20th I managed to do this diamond painting of a Christmas Cat. I however changed the cat's hat from green to red using leftover red diamond pieces. Good stress free crafting!

Saturday 6 March 2021

 Hello;

Just wanted to express my apologies to you all that are expecting posts from me everyday. I am sorry and that due to unfortunate circumstances I will be taking the next couple of weeks off from crafting. I wish everyone well and until later!

Sunday 28 February 2021

So the challenge for this week is to make 25 Christmas tags and a holder. The tags would be made focusing on something from Stampin' Up's A Merry Hello, Freezin Fun, Snow Wonder, Elphie, and Wrapped in Christmas stamp sets. Each tag is to be different from each other. You can make the tags however big/small, elaborate/simple, or shape you want. Can use any paper, embellishments, etc... as long as the item from the stamp set is the focal point.  Reveal day will be Friday March 5th. Have fun!

So for today I made another Christmas card. I used  a 6 x 4 3/4 white card base, layered it with a red and white dotted paper measuring 4 1/2 x 5 3/4. I then layered it with a blue watercolor card backing from Stampin' Up's Watercolor Christmas project kit. I stamped snowflakes and trees on the paper with black memento ink. I then stamped the sentiment and snowman from the Snow Wonder stamp set onto white cardstock and die cut them out. I colored the snowman with red/green stampin' blends popped it up onto the card base using dimensionals. I finished the card by popping the sentiment up onto red glitter paper (3 x 1 1/4), and then glued in to the card.

Friday 26 February 2021

Sorry I haven't been posting lately but I am back and hope to continue being able to post. I finished the weekly challenge with Sandra Higgins using the Watercolor Christmas project kit from Stampin' Up. We were to make four Christmas cards using anything in the kit but not using the accompanying stamp set.

For my first card I used the red card base and a blue green watercolor card base cut in half. I stamped snowflakes using from a Christmas paper pumpkin kit, in red ink. I stamped the skiing bunny from Freezin' Fun stamp set by Stampin' Up in memento tuxedo black ink and colored it using shaded spruce, real red inks. I stamped the merry Christmas sentiment using versamark and heat embossed it with snow white embossing powder.

For my second card I used a green card base layered with wreath paper from my stash.  I then took a wreath from the kit  ( 3 3/8 x  3 1/2) and layered it on red glitter paper (3 7/8 x 4). and glued it all on top of the wreath paper. I then stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment from Stampin' Up's Snowmen Season stamp set and put it on a 1 x  4 1/8 glitter paper strip. I then finished it off with large and small gems from my stash.

The third card I used a white card base (4 x 5 1/2) and layered it with a green card base back from the kit. I layered that with a light green paper with trees on it. I punched 3 green foil trees using the tree punch from Stampin' Up. I glued 2 trees down and then propped the third in the middle of those with a Stampin' Up's punched moose on it. I placed the Merry Christmoose sentiment onto white cardstock (1 1/4 x 3/4) with green foil backing (1 1/2 x 1) and placed it in upper right corner. I then finished the card off with green gems.

For the final card I used one of the red card bases from the kit and layered it with a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of holly paper (4 1/4 x 5 1/2). I then glued a 6 x 1/2 piece of red glitter paper across card front, with a 2 3/4 red glitter scalloped circle on top. I then stamped a 2 1/2 white scalloped circle with  Merry Christmas from Stampin; Up's Well Said stamp in shaded spruce and cherry cobbler inks. I then glued 2 holly leaves and the berries from the kit. I finished the card off by placing three clear rhinestones in the berries and one green/red gems on the card front.

Sunday 21 February 2021

Post of the day is a chicken coop using the Hey chick and hey birthday chick stamp sets and dies from Stampin' Up. I followed Debbie O'Neil's youtube video #4 "Hey chick, a week with the chick". So fun!

Yesterday Sandra Higgins and I attended a virtual all day Ladies Retreat Day through Stamp4funwithGen. We made 4 cards using the Stampin' Up's hydrangea stamp set and designer series paper. It was such a good day and had so much fun!

Saturday 20 February 2021

So for the challenge reveal I am posting my three cards using Stampin' Up's Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick stamp sets.

The first card is a slimline card showing the chickens having a birthday party. The second card is the chicks having a Christmas party and the last picture shows a chicken coop/outhouse and when opened it says welcome, with the chicks piled on top of each other.

Thursday 18 February 2021

So today I decided to make a simple thank you card. I used the hummingbird again from the Touch of Ink stamp set. I stamped the outline with memento ink, second stamped it in garden green and then fussy cut it out. On a 4 x 5 1/2 white card base I then took Stampin' Up's granny apple green, poppy parade, garden green, night of navy, and gorgeous grape inks and dragged them across the page. Then I placed the sentiment thank you so much from the stamp set on the bottom and popped up the hummingbird with dimensionals. Finished it off with 3 apple green rhinestones from my stash.

Tomorrow I will be posting the big reveal of the 3 challenge cards I was to make using Stampin' Up's Hey chick and Hey Birthday Chick bundles. So until then.

Wednesday 17 February 2021

So today I decided to play with the Touch of Ink stamp set. Every time I think of my Mom, I think of her love for hummingbirds and today she is on my mind more than usual. I used a 5 x 6 1/2 white card base, stamped a cascade of flowers from the touch of ink stamp set from Stampin' Up and coloured them with red and pink markers from my stash. I then stamped a hummingbird with gray slate, then second stamped with garden green, just jade and cherry cobbler inks. I finished off with a sentiment from the stamp set, red and light green sparkle gems.

Tuesday 16 February 2021

Today's card was spotlighting the Darling Donkeys from Stampin' Up. I used a standard 4 1/3 x 5 1/2 white card base, 4 x 5 1/4 blue glitter piece cut 1/2 inch all around to make a square frame. Stamped each of the donkeys in the Darling Donkeys stamp set onto grey cardstock with memento tuxedo black ink and fussy cut them out. Then cut circle frames out using the 2nd smallest edged circle and the 3rd smallest scallop circle die from Stampin' Up's layering circle dies on light blue cardstock. Glued each of the donkey heads into the frame and used blue rhinestones from my stash.

Monday 15 February 2021

So today I decided to do something relaxing given as it was Family Day here in Canada.. I did another 300 piece puzzle called The Dogwood Cottage from Art Gallery. Relaxing and challenging at the same time.

Saturday 13 February 2021

Hello everyone. I just wanted you to know that due to unfortunate circumstances I am not longer a Stampin' Up demonstrator. But I will continue to post my creations on this blog.

Friday 12 February 2021

Did a challenge where we had to case Meg Loven's peekaboo flip card. The card base itself consisted of three main pieces. I made mine into a valentine's day card. Here is the supply list of what I used:

Card base in red cardstock-

 1) 4 x 8 scored @ 5 1/4 and covered with heart DSP measuring 3 7/8 x 5                                        2) 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 scored @ 4 1/4 and matted with white cardstock measuring 3 3/4 x 3 3/4                3) 4 1/4 x 5 3/4 scored @ 5 1/2 and matted with white cardstock measuring 3 3/4 x 5

Card front on top of heart DSP has a stripe of red glitter washi tape measuring 1/2 x 5

Card has 3 red glitter hearts punched using the scallop heart punch from Stampin' Up's heart punch pack

3 white hearts were cut out using the many hearts dies and stamped using the always in my heart and the heartfelt stamp sets and placed over red glitter hearts

Red gems on card front were from my stash.

and the inside back of the card

Thursday 11 February 2021

Hello. I am in need of some craft therapy. My routine is so skewed and needs to be righted. I missed yesterday's post so today I am posting 2 cards.

The first card I used Stampin' Up's Snowflake bundle. The card base was Stampin' Up's blueberry bushel cardstock, matted with white cardstock that was embossed using the winter snow embossing folder. That was then matted with the snowflake splendour DSP, a sentiment using the Snowflake wishes stamp set and night of navy ink, a snowflake sticker, white ribbon and gems from my stash.

Card 2 was a thinking of you card. Card base was red cardstock, matted with black cardstock, matted with white cardstock and topped with a 2 1/2 x 5 strip of black and white plaid DSP. This was then matted with a 3 3/8 square of black cardstock and a 3 1/4 white cardstock square. I then used the many heart dies to cut 2 large scalloped hearts (black and white) and layered them together. I then layered the inside of the white heart with red flowers from the many hearts dies set, used black and white cardstock for the sentiment from the lots of heart stamp set. I then topped this all with 2 small single hearts from the many hearts dies and a red ribbon from my stash.

Tuesday 9 February 2021

Hello. I had to take a very unexpected trip so I wasn't able to post yesterday so I am posting two cards today.

The first card is an anniversary card. I used stampin' up's lovely lipstick cardstock for the card base, white cardstcok embossed with little flowers, blush glam DSP from craft smith, quite curvy and always in my heart stamp sets, many heart dies, and everything is rosy pink ribbon.

The second card is a Christmas present card. I used red, green and gold foil paper from stampin' up, gold washi tape, red glitter paper for the present, and gold twine from paper pumpkin's tag buffet kit for the present.

Sunday 7 February 2021

Hello everyone. Today I am posting another candy cane card that I made..  I used the sweetest border dies for the candy canes, the most wonderful time DSP, glitter paper, and the stamp set snow wonder for the sentiment.

Saturday 6 February 2021

Hello everyone. Today's post I am sharing my cards I made for the Christmas Stampathon 2021 submission. We were to case a card on page 73 of Stampin' Up's mini catalogue. We were to turn the card into 4 Christmas cards, putting our own spin on it  and submit it by February 24th. My first attempts at this challenge are below. I am sure I will make more.

I used for the first set of cards the sweetest border dies for the candy cane border and the candy canes, Most wonderful time DSP, and used the snowman season stamp set for the sentiment.

For the 2nd set of cards I used red, green, and gold foil paper, the winter snow embossing folder, the snow wonder stamp set for the snowman and the sentiment, and gems from my stash.

Really loved this challenge so I will probably make more before the next challenge.

 Good morning and

Friday 5 February 2021

Today's post is a valentine card with the sentiment of sending lots of heart from the stamp set Lots of Heart and the Many Heart dies from Stampin' Up. I also used pink and black cardstock, recollections Blush Glam DSP, pink glitter paper for the heart and pink gems from my stash.
